I am about to by my first disc brake to replace a cantilever rim brake. I want a Avid BB7 disc brake. They come in two varieties: road or mountain. Which one do I need if I don't want to change my brake levers?
The current rim brakes are Cane Creek SCX-5 and they are paired with Tektro RL720 cross levers and Tektro RL340 aero levers.
Thanks for clearing up my confusion!

You want road, or short pull, brakes. The nomenclature should be 'short pull' and 'long pull' not 'raod' and 'mountain.'
V-brake levers have a longer pull on them than levers for all other kinds of brakes (caliper, canti, u-brake) and if you have v-brake levers you need long pull disc brakes.
Doug, thanks for your explanation.
