Which market more likely to have one's stolen bike: Swap-O-Rama or Maxwell St.?

If your bike were stolen in Lincoln Park, where do you think it might be more likely to turn up?: Maxwell St. or Swap-O-Rama, at 4100 S. Ashland Ave.?

Mine was stolen about 2011, and at that point it was stolen on a friday in lincoln park, was probably sure if itwas there sat (someone went and didn't see it) but was there sunday.

Not sure there is a rhythm or reason and I think the guys who stole mine may be in jail now.....

My advice would be try it out.... you gotta just go every route including searching online like craigslist and fb bike sale groups.

And so sorry to hear about the stolen bike.  Assume you've posted on the Chicago Stolen Bike Reg, chicago.stolenbike.org/ and filed a police report?

Looking for some insight into Swap-o-rama. My partners bike was stolen last night - http://chicago.stolenbike.org/node/196013

Any idea on turn-around time for selling? If we went this week, likely it was already there this morning and gone by Tuesday (next time they are open). If you find the bike there, can you get it back without paying for it?

Thanks for the help, this sucks.

Just saw your other post and that you are doing all the below actions with registering and searching other online venues. Hoping you guys find it.  What a crappy feeling that too many of us have to go through.
