Beautiful weather, horrible wind

We had a glorious Kidical Mass on Saturday. I hope some folks took pictures. All I took were a couple of the kids running wild and free in the side yard at Bake.

What a beautiful picture above my post!

I left my perch in River North a couple times this weekend.  On Saturday I rode to Lincoln Park Zoo and then over to Wicker Park for an advertised alcoholic drink at the one year anniversary party for Bike Fancy.  (My first time riding in Wicker Park and a shout out thank you to Martha for perfect directions home.)  Today I rode up to Southport/Irving Park to attend a "practice" Thanksgiving dinner...such fun!  I kept repeating to myself "The winds are Chicago's hills."

That Garmin thing rocks!

Since winds were predominantly northbound (checked in advance), I decided to ride north to Kenosha (from Logan Sq). It was pretty much like sailing. Took the Metra back:)

Hey Michelle, what do you look like/were you wearing at Martha's shindig? I was wearing a black and white striped minidress over skinny jeans and currently have short light green/blonde hair. I always find myself having long conversations with Chainlinkers at events and never realizing until later.

Trailer pull to/from orchestra performance today (SW side to W. Loop).  No jacket either way, although I'm still not used to it being pitch black at 5:30.

I don't think I noticed you Ash, and with light green/blonde hair I would have.  Love it!  I had to think hard to remember what I was wearing, lol.  Plum short of sweater, white turtleneck over black skirt and black suede boots.  Oh, and I just got a haircut yesterday and my hair is amazingly short!!  Still hoping I get used to that.  Martha's pictures that were hanging on the wall were awesome!

Hey, I played in an orchestra performance in the west Loop yesterday afternoon too! CMSO?

I built shelves in my garage this weekend. Didn't really get to ride. :(

Good news is I now have room for more bike stuff!

On Saturday we rode our bikes over to my wife's in-laws to witness the passing away of 95 year old grandmother. A solemn yet uplifting day

On Sunday I walked over to Uptown bikes to pick up a bike that they had done some work one. Man, I love Uptown Bikes.

I used to do volunteer work for a Hospice group so I know what you mean by solemn yet uplifting day.  How wonderful that she had family with her.
