With Valentine's Day around the corner, I started thinking about the "loves" in my life. My question to my fellow cyclists is...

What do you love most about cycling?

It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle. ~ Ernest Hemingway

I agree with Peenworm's sentiment on this one.

I get the feeling sometimes that maybe there'd be more women on bikes if there was a bit less leering at women on bikes, perhaps.

You know there's a bit of a difference between taking a minute to think about whether or not behavior is appropriate or if it makes people uncomfortable and a totalitarian imposition of sharia law as understood by glenn beck, right

People think?

They don't seem to do it very often.

I'm a man and have had women honk and whistle when I ride past them. Sometimes it makes me smile and well sometimes its obnoxious. I can relate.
