Putting this forth as a ride destination idea-- I organized a tour by bike last year (or was it the year before) but I'll be out of town this time. Great food and a glimpse into a part of town many may be unfamiliar with.

Greetings! I attach for you the flyer for the third annual Cinco de Mayo Restaurant Tour. Kindly do pass it along, either by email or printed copies, and start signing up your companions for the tour!
Feel free to use the email below for promotion as well - I'm sending it to almost everyone I know in Chicago, and invite you to get word out as far and wide as you can too. Many thanks! - Mark

Hi everyone! Here's your invitation to the West Lawn Chamber of Commerce Cinco de Mayo Restaurant Tour. It's a fun event, and a fundraiser for the Chamber, and a great way to get your dinner!
It works like this: you buy a ticket ($20 by May 1 at
brownpapertickets.com/event/104826), you show up at our starting point (Cafezazzo, 3710 W. 55th) anytime after 5 pm on May 5, and you get a map that shows you how to eat your way through the neighborhood. You walk into restaurants, they give you food, you eat it, you go to another restaurant, and repeat. And repeat. And repeat. And... you get the idea. Plus there's an afterparty at Los Delfines with drink specials just for this occasion.
Besides Cafezazzo and Los Delfines, here's your chance to discover for yourself the legendary faro cake at Indio Cocina. Sample the renowned pizza at Palermo's (ranked among the city's best by the Sun-Times, Daily Southtown, and more). Try something new at Birrieria Zaragoza, "one of the city's best goat tacos" (TimeOut Chicago). Chill out at Coaches' Sports Bar. Check out south side classics Huck Finn Donuts and Pindo's Restaurant. And wrap it up with the elegant desserts at Pastel. All in one tasty night!
Sorry to say the restaurants are too far apart to walk - you'll need a car for this, or at least bikes or skateboards. Burros are fine too!
Let me know if you've got any questions (312-287-0151). Otherwise, it's time to recruit some friends, plan a family outing, or gather some other group and get your tickets! Thanks, and feel free to pass along the flyer! - Mark
