Wed April 8; Bike Commute Report; Lakefront Path

hi- it is a great day for riding, weather wise. A little brisk but clear and not too windy.

Take care near Olive Park just north of Navy Pier.
There are huge chunks of asphalt on the bike path that you will have to dodge.
The broken path at Oak street is still broken [bumpy ride]

OK, here's the scoop:

This is part of the Park District's spring patching project which should be underway very soon.

It's been delayed because of the recent nasty weather. If the trail is patched when it will be cold or wet for a long time, the patching gets ripped out fairly easily.

We're asking about specific timing for the spring patching project and will post more info soon.
