Was...Good Ol' Fashioned Summer Picnic. Now: Ice blocking xtravaganza

Just wondering if anyone would be up to go to or help organize a big summer picnic?  This beautiful weather makes me want to get outside!

I'm thinking get a group of bikers (and our non-biker friends), set up at a park (maybe Humboldt or Montrose Harbor) and do the typical summer picnic stuff:  Grill, water balloon contest, eat potato salad, play volleyball, go ice blocking, generally hang out.

Let me know if there is any interest, if you'd want to help out, what you could bring (activity-wise).  Also throw out good dates.  I'm thinking Sunday afternoons will be good.  Maybe July 11 or July 25?

i've got access to some secure lockups at that beach and will try to locate some tables before hand. if anybody else is in need of enclosed or exposed but gated storage at the boathouse, just let me know.
Hey all! This is on! I'm set up in the grassy area toward the south end of the beach at montrose. Hope you can find us!
Thanks to everyone who brought such delicious items to the picnic! It seemed to turn out well.

Sorry for the difficulty of locating the spot, the park is definitely huge!

I really appreciate those who tried out iceblocking for the first time. It's certainly one of the best summer activities.

If there is interest in doing an August picnic, we certainly can do so, otherwise, we'll have to try again next year!

Oh, and let me know if you are the owner of a bright pink soft sided cooler. I have it!
Now I'm thinking about doing an August get-together over in Caldwelll woods by the start of the North Branch trail.

There is a great little slope nearby for ice blocking, plus there is a nice pool that we could move the whole picnic to. The pool is a $5 admission, but it's really nice and there are water slides.

Which dates sound good? Aug 15? Aug 22nd?
IceBrocking was a blast! but I think I had more fun launching you guys down the hill.
'definitely in for the next picnic.
