My Giant FCR3 has developed a crack in the frame after 5+ years of frequent use.  Its at the corner where the vertical section that holds the seatpost meets the top horizontal bar.

Does anyone have experience with Giant on warranty replacements?

Brought it to my dealer (Kozy's) and they took pictures and sent them to Giant (on Monday) and now we're waiting for a response.

Any idea on how long this process takes and what I can expect?  They don't make FCR's anymore, so will I get a credit to pick a new bike, or will they pick a comparable model for me?

Thanks

Also, if they decide to let me pick my replacement model, does anyone have any recommendations on Giant hybrids similar to the FCR3?  I paid $490 five years ago.  It would be my sole means of transportation in the city and I'd use it everyday, year-round.  Thanks

When I looked at bikes at Kozy's they told me that any of the bikes sold there had a lifetime warranty, so they should take care of it for you

Good luck, They are going to claim you cashed it, they did it to me.  a TCR 0 broke on me and they refused to honor the warranty.  I got nothing, had to buy a new frame....
