...but I'm having trouble figuring out how much to sell it for. I want to upgrade to a road bike. I have a 2009 Cannondale Quickset now, and of course, I should've spent the extra cash to buy something I really want. I've used it more on a trainer than outdoors, so it has no real wear. Does the same principal apply to bikes as to cars? As soon as you "drive it off the lot" it depreciates? What about a bike that's it new condition? I want to get the biggest bang for my buck and could use a little advice.

Look it up a similar bike on E-bay, add the shipping cost and there is your local asking price.

Everynoe wants as much as can get for something. It's not really a matter of how much you want but how much people are willing to pay for it. Dont sell it for any less then what you want for it.

It's also important to put a "realistic" value on it...CL is full of bikes that will not sell due to their high asking price a few that come into mind is an Ellsworth that has been on there for over a year and a Cannondale Badboy that has been there for a better part of a year...

Hi Dana,

Craig's List works well and is free but only remains for a week or less. eBay is another option and charges a small fee depending on your list price ect. I am selling a a fairly new Size medium ( 5'6-5'10) Giant OCR C1 all carbon road bike if interested.
I definitely would be interested however I'm only about 5'3'' or 5'4'' so I think it might be a bit tall for me. But thanks!

I think bike fit is a fluid science...There are no absolute rights or wrongs but personal preferences, I have met people that ride a smaller or bigger frames than what they "should" according to the bike manufacturers. I personally prefer a smaller frame because I feel it is a little more snappier handling...Then again one might be able to fit a larger frame if you change out the stem.
