Some Very Important Parkers Ive come across over the last few days.

Illinois just west of Michigan is a popular spot:

Mr Boots could have used one:

This SUV driver was too busy with his phone to notice the traffic backup he was causing. He pulled out right after he saw me taking his picture. Although he seems to like to park in the bike lane, apparently he doesnt appreciate evidence of this and gave me the finger as he drove by.

Unfortunately I didnt get pictures of the two USPS vehicles that did a U-turn into the eastbound Kinzie protected bike lane and drove down the block.  That was special.

Actually, there are empty parking spaces clearly visible in both of the photos, roughly 20 feet in front of the police car and 30 feet behind the Securitas car.  In each case, the parking was that distance farther away from the steps to the El platform.  The officers were just feeling lazy and entitled ... or maybe they were heavily laden with donuts.

classic. talk about a double standard. I nominate these for the hall of shame : esp. since there appears to be adequeate parking nearby outside of the protected bike lane (just make an "illegal" u-turn and park on the other side of the street)

Wish I had a picture of the CTA police car that was parked today in the southbound bike lane on Southport just south of Addison.  I thought about stopping to get the camera out for a second, but it was raining too hard and I am not as diligent as you were.

Would it be worth it to send the picture of Mr. Boots with the date and time to the local police station?  Looks like he is actually in a protected bike lane.
