The Chainlink

Lovely late-60's black city bike with chrome headlight and Brooks saddle. Styled after British comfort bikes, but with a slightly longer front end.

Made by Puch (Austrian motor-bike builders), and featuring a Sturmey Archer-designed 3-speed hubshifter, also built by Puch.
Hubshifters are superb in city riding - almost like having an automatic transmission.

This is an elegant but simple lugged frame, and considered very well-made by bike gurus:

This one sports some surface rust in places, but the frame and mechanicals are in excellent condition. I just had the rear hub serviced, and had both wheels trued. It has front and rear fenders and a rear rack.
It's ready for city commuting or plain old joyriding. Will accomodate riders 5 foot to 6 foot tall.

Asking $120. I would ask more, but the rear brakes need new pads (maybe $10 installed).
