The Chainlink

Hi, Im selling a late 80's- early 90's Eddy Merckx steel frame, lugged bike. It includes a nearly full Campagnolo C-record grouppo. The wheelset is Campagnolo Mexico 68 with 8 speed casette.  I had this bike professionally sandblasted and powdercoated by UV powder coating in Chicago. The finish is beautiful!! Metallic blue with a subtle gold sparkle clear coat. This color is almost identical to the original paint job but has a unique depth and durability that can only be achieved with powdercoating. This is not a typical powder coating job- this guy is an artist and it shows! I ordered a new decal set from Australia that perfectly matched the original decals including the chrome around the letters. I also polished all the original parts with a buffing wheel to get out the scratches and make them look brand new again. The wheelset is used and has some scratches. Chainstays and campy dropouts are all chromed and in good condition. The headset and BB were both cleaned and repacked by a pro and are very smooth. All this work was completed last summer and the bike has basically been stored in my apartment ever since. This is a rare find- you have to see to believe! I made this bike for myself but need the money more than another sweet bike.... Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, Nic
