The Chainlink

This is kinda fun: a woman is cycling from Massachusetts to Milwaukee, which is the birthplace of the typewriter (and also my hometown but I didn't know that), with a typewriter, writing a poem with people along the way. She'll be in Chicago June 10

Looks like the Type Rider will be at the Printers' Row Lit Fest on Sunday, June 10

The Type Rider in town now today and tomorrow.

From her blog:

A few weeks ago, though, I invited to attend the Printer's Row Lit Fest, and it turned out that my visit to the city coincided with the event this weekend. So for the next two days, I will be setting up my typing station at the Info booth, just next to the Art & Poetry tent and right at the center of foot traffic, and I can't wait to see how the action unfolds...

Just got back from visiting the Type Rider. Great fun. Made my contribution to the Great American Poem. She's at the information tent on the NW corner of Polk & Dearborn. She'll be there again tomorrow, Sunday, 10AM-6PM.
