It is a very nice concept, unfortunately, it has two problems:

1. No winter option yet, and I highly doubt the winter glove they are working on will be enough all by itself in our sort of winter (if it ever arrives). You will wind up covering it up with an outer glove of some kind.

2. To point the arrows in the direction you are turning, you hold your arm in non-standard turn signal positions. Note on the front page that to turn left, the cyclist is holding her left arm up in what is almost a right turn signal position. It would have been much less confusing in my opinion if they set up the arrow so it pointed in the desired direction when you were making legal arm signals: left (right) arm out straight left (right). The last thing I want to do is confuse the cager behind me.

For me, #2 is a more serious flaw than #1. I expect most people to be off the streets when it is very cold. I asked them about #2 when they first had their Kickstarter. It would have been an almost trivial fix...

From FAQ's
Why did you decide to have the turn signal point at a right angle? Shouldn’t the arrow point toward the knuckles? The US, Canada and Europe allow alternative signaling in which you extend your arm out in the direction that you intend to turn. This is how we recommend you use Zackees™ Turn Signal Gloves™.

Furthermore, having the arrow position in our product allows you signal in front of you without having to take your hands off the handle bars!

Why even have them on the gloves? Just have turn signals mounted to the bike.

Personally I wear biking gloves that have reflectors on them and they light up in the car lights. I will rotate the back of my hands forward sometimes so the reflectors are visible from the front.

In any case it's a nice idea but it doesn't even have to be in an arrow shape. Just lights in any shape would do and one line going down the back of the index finger so pointing in the normal signaling method would do.

I'm with Irvin on this one. The arrow direction is goofy.

I love that people are thinking of new things to make biking safer. But there is no way I would buy these. In addition to the reasons already cited:

1. cost - just way too much, but also, the more expensive a glove is, the more likely it is that I'm going to lose one of them.

2. Not vegan.

I just ordered some of these for spring/autumn (or mid december during periods of global warming)

I think the tacx lumos lights are a better option.  They mount on your drop bars and give you a front/rear/turn signal and most importantly aren't a part of something that will end up wearing out and having to be replaced (bike gloves) on a regular basis.
