Tues 2/10/09; People Should Ride Today (WARM)

hi - I am sure I am preaching to the choir here but I commuted to work today based on the weather forecast, which was right. A hella strong wind from the southwest but otherwise it's WARM.

Also lakefront path users: there is still a thick layer of ice at that LSD curve near Oak st/ Walnut St. where the waves splash on the bike path (you have to dismount and walk your bike - no way around it)

but otherwise I say make some time to ride today and shake off some of that cabin fever !!!

I had a little time today to go out for a little spin. It is JUST RIGHT out there even with the wind. This is a nice little break from the recent weather. Gives me an opportunity to finally take down the Christmas lights...

I declared today to be "Picnic Day" and went for a sun-soaked ride before having lunch in the park. Every year, I adjust to winter, adapt to it and refuse to let it keep me from doing things - but every spring is a joy.
