I'm not really arguing anything, just questioning Leica's adverstising judgment.  I got nuthin' but respect and admiration for Mr. MacAskill's abilities.  And I am pleased as punch that he can get people to pay him to ride.

But I wonder how effective it is to just associate your logo with some ad that otherwise does not have any obvious association with your product.

No matter how expensive the camera or lens for product placement, I could not ride like that nor any one  i know.

Moot argument.

And Leica cameras at that.  When I saw your post, I was thinking "OK, maybe a Hero, or a Contour, or something a rider would use to tape his/her ride."  But a Leica shooter?  They might as well have been advertising for Domino's Pizza.  RedBull got more play in that ad than Leica did.

I would never have guessed that 6+ minute video was selling cameras.

And thus my surprise after viewing the video. Leica? Could just as easily have been Cialis or Depends.

Precisely.

Professionally, I'm testing Depends under garments.  May I count upon you and Kevin as sponsors?

Assuming that you wear them during your trials routine on a 1970s Schwinn step-through, absolutely.

But then, that's just an everyday late-July ride for you, right?

As attractive as that offer is Craig, I'm going to have to get back to you. I'm still trying to cut a deal with an astronaut.
