Trek 4300 for trade

My son has outgrown his Trek 4300.  It is 4 years old, has 24 speeds, Shimano shifters and Bontrager tires/wheels/seat.  Front shocked, never trailed, used on the IPP and street only.  This bike has a lower top bar and could be considered unisex.  It has damage to the left brake handle but the brake still works.  He needs a men's bike, he is 5' -7" and growing.  His Trek is good for a person, 5'-5" and shorter.  The treads are at 90%.  We are in DuPage County, IL.
