Aaron, I recently moved to Chicago and my MTB has been doing nothing but gather dust. I used to hit the singletrack 5 days a week but now it's just mainly commuting. If you know of some trails in the area, I'd love to ride them.
i used to ride at palos at bullfrog lake but i recently moved to the very north side and found this trail that starts at la bough park and goes on forever. but it is a mix single track and horse trail then it follows the north river paved trail. I like it a lot it.
I do a whole lot of trail racing - WORS, WEMS, and local little stuff too. Season's over for 2008 but 2009 will start with the Rock Cut Trail Crew's "Do the Rock" in late April.

If you're looking to join a team, check mine out. We'll be doing endurance and regular trail racing again in 09. Dirt is fun.

Also, check out the CAMBR folks. They do the trail maintenance at Palos and they run a race annually.
Where is La Bough Park? A trail that goes on forever sounds awesome.
