Thought power washing blew the grease out of the hubs and other parts? Also, check out the can of WD-40

It does, but when you get free equipment and parts from the manufacturers and a team of mechanics that will check and fix things out almost daily, I don't think it matters.

notice that the mech doesn't blast directly and up close to the bearings; the last thing a mech wants to do is create more work.

In my lucky life of being able to sit with pro mechanics and team directors, it is not necessarily true that teams get everything for free; even so, they may get X number of groups to last an entire season. And it is a long season.

Yea. Even if they get the things for free, they won't want to blow lubricant out of anything as efficiency is such a big deal in the pro races.
