Today is a great day to practice

The main streets seem to be pretty good. I was out and running errands today. This is the perfect kind of snow to find a nice side street and practice your handling. I had to work really hard on the side streets and was dabbing some and had to stop a couple of times. I noticed it is so much easier for me now that I bring my tire pressure way down. I know when I practice snow biking on these days it is always fun and I learn a lot. I noticed today my technique is improving although I know some kind of unavoidable wipeout is in my imminent future. It is much easier to learn it now when there is no pressure as opposed to the weekday rush.

how much do you lower your tire pressure? whenever I do it i notice a noticeable drag and dislike the way i'm handling. But maybe i'm just lowernig it too much. I've only done 105 down to 95 psi

Said person is in shock. Are you running Nolkians? What burb are you in? In Kenosha, the side streets suck. Ice on the bottom, loose snow on top. Main streets extra salty, pot holes, craters and ice in the gutters. Seems the Villages and Cites do not want to spend any more money south of the state or North. Just think about how super fit you will be when March gets here. Or in vest in some snowshoes like I did 25 years back and hit the Cross Country trails at Parkside. Was out here on Saturday. Almost a foot of fresh powder and only a few skiers.

I did see a lot of folks out playing in the snow with their kids; skiing on the paths, pulling sleds along, etc. I got some strange looks, and one person decided I wasn't crazy, but "brave"!
