Sinkhole swallows cars whole on South Side on the 9600 block of South Houston Avenue.

Three fewer cars in the world is a good thing.  Throw in some more while you are at it and cover them up.

Unfortunately one human was hurt in the incident.   Cars are dangerous.

I never said that I was against insurance here.

Insurance is a personal call.

It's one of the costs of owning a vehicle.   Insurance isn't free, it's a hedge bet -but it comes at a cost. Or going without and taking your chances.  Most of the time insurance costs much more than the average person ever gets back in claims.  That's how the insurance companies stay in business.  If a person can't afford to replace something then insurance is a way to mitigate the risk -at a price.

I wonder if the policies these people had on their autos cover sinkholes and/or flood damage.  Some folks don't have it.  My car is only insured for my own liability plus medical for uninsured motorists that might hit me and my occupants. If this were my car I'd be out a car right now.  Then again it's not worth insuring for comp, much less flood/fire/acts of Zeus.   That's a chance I'm willing to take.  I could buy another car like mine with pocket change.   It's just a car, not a penis extension.  It runs, it goes.  It gets there on trips that are further than I can do with my bike.  I don't care what it looks like.

Nice...

James, you have no feckin clue what you are talking about, Any person who has ever been hit by an uninsured driver will confirm that. So, do me and everyone else a favor, and shut up.

What dost thou know me for?

Some people live their lives they way they want to.  Some people live their lives the way they want to and WHOEVER DOESN'T DO IT MY WAY DESERVES WHAT THEY GET.   Yeah, sometimes people lose their cars, and  sometimes there is a guy watching and clapping his hands.  Serves them right for having cars in the first place, James?

As irrational as it is to hate people with cars, did you know there are people who hate people with bikes?  The two have same mentality, and they can both justify their hatreds.

That makes sense considering your "penis extension" is clearly the Chainlink forum, where you are allowed to bloviate all day long and annoy everyone who isn't a narcissistic self-proclaimed "twat". Get a job.

For once I agree with you.

Excellent point Juan! "Hate the sin, not the sinner."

Missed my point, Tony.  Don't hate at all.  You can see clearly what hate turns you into.
