I recently came across a training video created in June by CDOT and the CPD that I think is an excellent primer on bike law. I'm not sure if this video has ever been posted on this forum before. It really should be required viewing for all people traveling the streets of Chicago (or any other big city for that matter). I'd be interested to know if anyone feels that something important was left out of the video.

Check it out.

I like it, I especially liked it showing the short amount of time it takes to wait for a cyclists to pass as well as a good illustration of how much a different a light makes where visibility is concerned.
This should be "sticky-ed" somewhere on CL.

I got a little angry when one woman said "I don't think they should be on the road..."
Great Video, nice to know the cops are looking out for us, but totally unrealistic as a driver. Even if it rains or snows your can hardly see out the window and personally I always give drivers the right away because I know most of the time they are not paying much attention. If anyone expects drivers to be taking bikers into consideration then you are making a big mistake.
I completely agree. We should always ride under the assumption that drivers cannot or will not see us.
