When our Fetish Position CX bike was stolen from our parking garage may 25, we were devastated with disbelief. It had taken 2 years to collect and build the bike from the defunct AZ company Fetish and we had had the bike only 3 days. It was the first theft in our building in 9 yrs and they moved my 2011 Redline Conquest to take it.

Immediately I posted a $500 reward at http://www.stolenbicycleregistry.com/ as Insurance deductible was a grand and buying any pseudo replacement the same.

Whilst we didnt have the bike long enough to even supply the serial #, I was sure to include plenty of pictures and details.

I then continued to post at Craigslist, myspace, facebook and appropriate bike groups and pages there. (Critical Mass, Nude Ride, Bike Gang, etc etc)

I'd occasionally receive emails from interested persons seeking advice if it were found.
The Fetish Cycles Company is extremely rare, I suggested they remove skewers or add their bike lock to it should they find it corralled and call me to meet them at location.

1 week ago I got an email informing me it had been sited at SwapOrama in Alsip.
the informant was a cyclist who was intrigued by the bike but unfamiliar. He passed on the $700 asking price but searched the web when he got home to learn more of the Fetish company. There my Stolen/Reward post was all over everywhere on the net.

7 weeks later we have our bike back and unscathed!
Cops suggest all bike theft victims attend SwapOrama on 41st and Ashland.
Our Bike was the 3rd Recovered from the seller in Alsip.

Great Thanks StolenBicycleRegisry & to Gerry & Marsha in Mokena for the incredible tip. The Chicago Cyclist Community Rules and is only getting Better.
