(feel free to use this thread for anything you want to pass along to the chainlink family that's not bike related)

I listed my netbook on craigslist this morning, and have been deluged with responses, which have overwhelmingly cemented my feeling that I don't want to deal with people I don't know for local transactions.

So I thought I'd offer it up here. Great condition, fair price.

I'm selling my Dell Mini 10v. It features an Atom 1.66 Ghz processor, 1 GB RAM and a 160 GB hard drive.
Upgrades include a pretty red outer case, a 6-cell battery (5+ hours run time!), and a b/g/n wireless card.
A webcam is built in. It's had very few power cycles off of the wall adapter-- probably less than 20 or 30.
It has only traveled outside the home 4 or 5 times since purchase from Dell. Includes original box it shipped in and all documentation and restore discs.
The discs have not been opened or used-- it is still running fine with the factory install of XP sp2 (Dell shipped these with XP as an option until the model was discontinued in mid-2010).
The first three images show the actual computer, and the 4th is a stock image showing that the 6-cell battery raises the rear of the unit a bit.
The price is $150 firm; it would be great if you could do the research to make sure this is the right thing for you before inquiring.
Thanks!

I know your concerns on CL but in the last month I have had real good luck selling stuff on it. Normal people (as normal as random people go), cash, and no BS. I even got a trade from there.
Dammit! Why didn't I check this sooner, my old laptop finally died friday and my plan today is to go shopping for an inexpensive netbook to get by until iscrounge up enough cash for a new mac. This would have been perfect!
Let me know if I can take it off your hands, I'll go pick it up.

I'm getting ready for a change in lifestyle and am getting rid of just about everything in my apartment and starting from scratch after a project.

Nothing is particularly fancy, but if you need dishes, basic furniture or anything along those lines, let me know.  I also have a TV (not flatscreen), a playstation 2 with lots of games and lots and lots of random stuff (non-bike tools...some camping gear, books, pictures, etc.)

I'll also be selling an oboe, a student clarinet, a matched set of orchestral clarinets (A and Bb), a flute for parts.

Howard, couldn't this model be made into a hackintosh? I figured you of all people would have done that, unless I am mistaken, and it is not feasible.

The 10V should be hackinstosh compatible...of course, that violates the TOS ;-)

I have a Dell Mini 9 and i love it.  They are solid little computers!  The only complaint is that with the screen so small, some sites are a little hard to use.

Howard,

If Vando does not want it I call the next dibs on it.
