The Chainlink

It's on kickstarter. It's from Chicago. It looks like a small and great idea, and I'm backing it. It fits in a custom water bottle cage that they give you.

Just thought I would share.

Congrats on the Trib article! That should help drum up some more kickstartery love!

Thank you so much Tony!  We're working around the clock to get the message out.  We really think that the Chicago biking community is with us and we hope to make you proud in the final days of our Kickstarter!

We'll post to our social media channels, congrats!

Best,

Ethan Spotts, Active Trans

Thank you!  We're going to try to make magic happen shortly.  We're going to be unleashing a tier in the next couple of hours that we hope will inspire people to take the leap with us and spread the word.  We've been chatting with bicycle advocacy groups from NYC and the good folks at Bike Portland and everywhere in between and they all want us to exist.  Let's change the way WE ride forever and of course HAPPY FIRDAY!!!!! (said like Mel Gibson at the end of Braveheart, though he is a prick, you get the tone, also The Road Warrior was good).  Happy Friday!

To add to that, if you think you'll be in any competitive races any time soon or if you wanted to manage a fleet of bikes, you'd want to choose the Pro Plan.  For urban dwellers like us, the commuter plan is perfect, providing all the features you'd want to help recover your bike if it's stolen, alert key members of your contacts list if you were in a crash, and push a notification to your phone an email if someone even begins tampering with your bike.  Hope that helps inform your decision :-)  Great ride last night!

Hey, I was just wondering if you could give us a better idea as to what kind of a rider a "casual user" is.

In our tests so far casual users need to recharge about once a month.

Congrats! The project has been funded. I jumped on the early-ish bird special. Looking forward to the product.

I asked for a refund from this in late September after a year of the project not releasing any promising updates. Received the refund shortly afterwards. I feel bad for the people still waiting on this as they haven't released an update since October. For the past few months the forum on kickstarter is full of people asking for refunds with no reply from the Bike Spike guys.

Also, my Helios bars are still working awesome.
