I am aware that their are open shop days at west town bikes, but they NEVER line up with my schedule. If anyone knows of anyone that is willing to teach me how to keep my bikes on the road I would really appreciate a hand.   I am willing to barter with music lessons? or pay said person.  But i am getting tired or paying people on a regular basis when I have the tools, just not the know how. THANK YOU!!!

If you're serious about trading for music lessons, I have many years of experience and bike know-how to trade for some pointers on guitar technique and music theory, or maybe just some jam sessions.

You can volunteer at Working Bikes (2434 S. Western Ave., Chicago) and they will teach you how to repair bikes. They may also have a workshop for bike repair/building. Call or stop by the shop Wed & Thur 12 noon-7 p.m. or Fri & Sat 12 noon-5 p.m.
Accept my friend request and I'll message you my number.  Just FYI, I'm out of town this weekend but maybe we can set something up for next week.  I live on the south side but I can ride to wherever you are (in the city at least).
