I love it though.

I think it makes me stronger as well.There arent any skyscrapers to block the huge wind rushes that sweep in from the north.However,my speed and endurance have improved significantly.

i did about 40 miles on 53/18.....

I agree, I love Busse woods and the Poplar Creek trails over in the NW burbs. One of the things I miss about living out there. Also rides through South Barrington and Medinah are great too. It would kick ass to set up a ride to the burbs by taking the metra but I'm sure they would freak at any more then 10 bikes. I wish I knew away to get out there by bike with out taking Irving Park the whole way.
I swear the metra needs to dedicate a whiole train car to bikers.Period....I would be willing to stand during my journey as well.
