My single speed Silver/chrome Giant Bowery was stolen from outside my apartment last night (800 block of Cornelia, Cornelia and Fremont) -Wigglyville/Lakeview
it has all the decals taken off of it and has many scratches on it. it has black bar tape that is also torn up. Armadillo tires, womens specialized seat (with pink dimond towards the front.) at the time it had the wiring for an odometer, but no odometer attached and a black bell that is scratched up. There was also a red milk crate attached to the back of it and an orange spoke card.
It was attached with a combo cable lock to the fence in front of my apartment. was outside over night.
Please help me find it!
I already made a police report, posted it on the stolen bike report and on craigslist

H3 - Where you at? I'm seeing some redundancy here.
You posted it on the Stolen Bike Registry? After Garth's report(Wednesday), I see 2 Trek, a Skyline, a GT and a Kona. Get it listed - Chicago Stolen Bike Registry (also under Useful Links above).

And I don't mean to sound harsh, and I know you're brand new to Chicago, but cable locks alone don't do the job around here - especially not a combo.

Get a U-lock. Preferably one that doesn't have a hook on one end of the shackle so that the lock needs to be cut to two places to remove.

Does anyone know a good, strong U-lock that fits this requirement? Kryptonite is good, but I think all of their U-locks have that hook, so they can be cut once and just unhooked.
Kryptonite NY lock- no hook. I use that and a Krypto mini all the time, everytime.
