My bike was stolen on March 31, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. I was working and ran downstairs and tried to catch the guy he it is a black Cannondale Synapse disc 5 105 2015. Size 48  Everyone does not have disc brakes yet so hopefully it will stick out. Also one side of the pedals were regular and the other side are for clips. I hope someone sees it. I noticed that the same day bikes are stolen in one specific radius. As a community what can we do about this it seems as if it is getting worse.

Also curious. If he left the lock behind as you stated in the Chicago stolen bike page, and it's a kryptonite lock, you may be eligible for an insurance claim with them. I also don't mean to contradict you, but the increase of stolen bikes is more probable to more people reporting them. The warmer months always increase with bike theft due to people locking them outside more often. (These are all my opinions, not necessarily facts.)

Yes, you're saying this guy stole a bike in broad day-light with no cutter but a key on a Krypto lock??? Is that possible?

Picking locks is time-consuming. The most likely explanation is that the lock was not properly secured when the bike was left.

Any locks can be picked with some experience...though the snake locks look like a tough one. I just wish the keys were a little stronger.

Just a friendly reminder: Here's the list of things to do after your bike is stolen.

For a slightly better chance of getting it back, I'd also recommend taking photos and writing up a full description/profile of your bike on Bike Index before someone has the opportunity to possibly steal it.

Delgado Bicycle has some bad reviews as a run down housing project in TX and rave, but hidden, on Yelp in CA. Does not seem legit. Then again it could be a legit operation, but good eye for the odd.

Both of those Colnago's are several years old. Both are sold as framesets with components to be picked by the end user

Those look like some pretty old inventory.   Depending on the pricing, it might be legit.  It is a bit unusual but selling 4-6 year old race bikes at lowish prices isn't too crazy.  I can't imagine the market is all that great for the bikes after a few years.

Naa, that M10 (blue frame) ,just the frameset is still worth about $2000 and the other EPS frame is worth at least 3000, with no parts
