This morning I took off my lights off my bike and put them in my bike pocket after locking up my bike. But when I got to my desk, I noticed I only had my front light in the pocket.

I retraced my steps all the way back to my bike, but alas, it's gone.

Anyone know an LBS that may carry the Serfas Thunderbolt USB Rear Bike Light? Or, the Knog Blinder Road Rear USB? Locally, and in stock, this afternoon?

Johnny Sprockets on Bryn Mawr carried a whole selection of Knogs last time I was there

REI on Halsted shows they have them in stock...Sorry about your loss...that sucks.

Thanks Jaik

that's quite a rear light. I just got the radbot 1000 but this puts mine to shame.

Your post raises a concern I have about rear lights. I park at the Merchandise Mart and I am pretty confident this light will get taken. But I am worried about taking it off every day as they are easy to lose as you experienced and also the mounting joint weakens with repetitive removals ( I assume). It doesn't come off easy.  So not sure what to do. I bought cheap lights to stop this problem but finally decided to get something brighter.  Wish there was some way to attach the light so it can't be stolen. I don't think it would take much deterrent to keep folks away. assume it  is a crime of opportunity by street folks.

Yeah, I usually put them in my pannier after every ride, but I thought I had huge pockets and that they were secured in one of the pocket.

Too bad we're closed on Wednesdays in the offseason, but if you still need a rear light, we've got both lights at RVB.

Funnily enough, I've got both the Knog Blinder and Serfas T-bolt rear lights. Crazy bright and I really like the USB rechargeability on the lights. Never worried about the rubber attachments, but in the case of the Seras, if it did break you could replace it with an o-ring or regular rubber band in a pinch. Had them both for the duration on this long, dark, salt-encrusted winter and they've been unfailingly bright for me every night.
