I'm selling two Raleigh bikes. I've priced them pretty low because I'd like to move them quickly and not have the sales take a lot of time.
Both are 62-63 cm, so they are ONLY for a taller rider. The other catch is you have to come up to Northwest Evanston to pick it up.
The first is a red, Raleigh Pursuit fixed gear that was converted last year. Here's the Craigslist posting:
The second is a black, Raleigh Super Record road bike. It currently has the racing handlebars, but as I said in the post I'll throw in a pair of cruiser style handlebars that I have in the garage. Here's the Craigslist post on this one:
But wait, there's more! I'll give the buyer as many www.ILBicycleLaw.com stickers as they want! Thanks. Have a great weekend.

Craigslist took down my posts because I reference PayPal in the posts. Oh well. So I had to relist them. BTW, the price is only non-negotiable for those on Craigslist. If you email me that you saw this on theChainlink I'll be happy to work something out with you.
Here's the new Craigslist posts:
Posting ID # 2414581755:
"Vintage Black Raleigh Super Record" (bicycles)
Should now be viewable at the following URL:

It is. Make me a reasonable offer and its yours.
The Red Raleigh is still available as well. Sold to the first person to make a reasonable offer.
(Note: I love these bikes. But I love my wife more, and she asked me to move a couple of my bikes along to people who will use them. And I'm happy to do that.)
Question: My Craigslist postings are totally harmless. Does anyone know how/why I keep getting flagged for removal? My guess is there are people out there selling bikes who don't want any "competition" and flag every other post selling bikes.
Just curious. Thanks.

BUMP
I still have the black Raleigh. Sold the red Raleigh. Made a deal with my wife that I wouldn't get another bike until I sold one I have. I was going to turn the black Raleigh into a fixed gear and never got around to it.
Anyways, I'm selling the black Raleigh to the best offer I get on the Chainlink. Only catch is you have to come to Evanston to pick it up. Send me a message if you are interested. Please remember that bike frame is around 62 so it is for a taller rider.

I may have someone who would like the black Raleigh. I'll be in touch to come see it.
It takes X amount of flags for a post to be deleted. I have never had a bike ad flagged myself. You have either burned several people and they know who you are(since it takes X amount of flags for a post to down), you constantly re-post your ad(like many do), a commercial seller, or you are including and saying you will only take pay-pal or link the ad to another site.
I myself flag anything that links me to a ebay auctions, pay-pal accounts, or any other sort of site that does not allow me to view/see in person on CL. CL is a local buy and sell site, period. If you are not willing to meet up with a buyer, then stay off of it.

I believe there are those that flag what they perceive to be "competition" but there are also those that flag because they see that the same person is posting 2 bikes, and consider you a "bike dealer", or they saw your previous post and flagged that one, and now they see it again, and flag it again. Sadly, there is no regulation to flagging, so if someone just wanted to be a jerk, they could flag you all day long. That is the pitfalls of free advertisement.

Thanks, Julie. I just want it to have a good home. Best offer takes it home.
