I noticed this and the recent thread about a found lock.

In regards to this craigslist poster, anonymous, one wonders if there is not something missing here, how, it seems almost designed to fail to find the owner. Unless one is monitoring Craigslist, constantly even, I don't see a useful process presented here. I won't go into it but there is only a location where it was found, and it may not have been the owner who left it there.

Mark your bikes! I see no reason why a little sticker with a phone number and "call if found" on it should be discouraged. Can you? Its something a thief would remove but something a helpful person could use to quickly find you if the need arise.
