Run you fools! Waterproof HD "action cam" with helmet mount for $20 after rebate at Menard's through Sunday 6/16.

I posted to the cam thread but it's kind of buried there so I'm giving a separate alert here-- will close this thread after Sunday.  Kind of a don't miss deal, assuming one would be inclined to spend $40 at Menard's anyways.

Showing in stock at every store:

Caveat: It may suck.

Tore the web apart... not much out there on this.

at 640 you can't make out the license plates at all.  kinda sad the state of the roads.  so pothole filled!!

pretty funny you decided to blow the light with the camera running...  Thanks for the heads up, I might go to my local menards tomorrow

yes, i did read that you didn't mount it properly.  i ride that route sometimes on polk and know the giant cracks and dips on that block, which are visible on the video.  looks like you do the same thing i do which is take the lane to avoid the nastiness.

Agree that 640 is unworkable for use as a 'flight recorder.'  Fortunately I have an unused 8 GB and 16 GB MicroSD sitting here so there's no "cost" to me to run at 1280xX. Possible higher power consumption/lower battery life, but I'll find out.

Re: potholes... don't know if I was clear that I didn't have the camera mounted properly....

I got the last one at the Menard's on Cicero and 24th.  Now to figure it out....
