I hope he's OK and recovers quickly and completely. I am an attorney, but this is not my practice area. A friend of mine is with Corboy and Demetrio and has experience with bike accident personal injuries. His name in Dan Kirschner and he can be reached at 312-346-3191 or DSK@corboydemetrio.com. I would have emailed this to you more privately, but I don't think I can until you accept a friend request....

Whether he talks to Dan or another attorney, He (or someone on his behalf) should talk to a qualified attorney as soon as possible to discuss his rights and possible remedies. If you talk to Dan, please tell him I referred you. - Ian S. Kasper
Same here. Best wishes to your roommate.

Dave Statham 312-443-1998.
Hope your friend recovers and gets back on a bike again with no damage to his persona what so ever (except for a few bruises).
It's a shame that drivers think their time is more important than that of other people, and that makes them run stops or just loosely stop at one.
Be safe out there, specially on rainy days.
If he wants a support group Chicago has one of the first bike/pedestrian crash support groups for victims and family members. 312 427 3325 ext. 289, or send an email to crashsupport@biketraffic.org.
What does not kill you usually makes you a stronger person. You gotta pay super close attention. I always prefer to let cars have the right of way. As a driver, sometimes it can be really difficult to see out a dirty window at night. Personally I do not like lawyers so I cannot recommend someone. Keep us all updated. Also willing to give some time for any errands etc if it is on the NorthSide East of Western. 773-343-4500 - Marty
hes back home now...will be out of work for about 6 weeks. has surgery next tuesday to have his arm fixed...head still cracked and ugly. the driver was driving a company car and has insurance thru the teamsters.
sorry to hear that. Cary wintroub helped me when i was run over. i dont have his phone number anymore, but you can just google his office im sure. i was surprised he took my case because it didnt seem big enough for him but he totally rocked it out. without him, i would have been SOL.
Hey Joe. Hope your roomie gets better man!
