They're plugging the hell out of them on XRT and I have to admit he'd make a good addition to my "see 'em before they croak" list. I don't think my usual music-going friends would be interested though . . .
anyone here up for seeing it?
Thx.

Kinda short notice...
You know I saw the "Animals" Tour at Soldier Field in 1977.
Wow, a little pricey. I'd definitely splurge on the 200 section or better. (in the 300s, the band looks like little ants)
Believe me, when I started out I was bragging, but when I counted it out on my fingers, I was stunned.

I can’t decide if I should tell you to quit bragging or warn you that you’re dating yourself.

I saw them performing "Animals", complete with flying inflatable sofa & pig, At the Empire Pool, Wembley (London) at around the same time - probably the same world tour? A quick web-search reveal it was in March 1977 http://www.pinkfloydz.com/animalspeter/1.htm

Actually the Pig was supposed to explode but didn't.

Do I recall some controversy about the Animals tour in regard to concertgoers being upset that some portion of the show was pre-recorded? (Or maybe something about the flying pig catching fire?)

Truthfully, Thursday the 23rd would be better for me, but keep me posted on what you find out.
While we're waiting, anybody want to hear about Led Zeppelin at the Chicago Stadium in 1973 or David Bowie at the Rosemont Horizon in 1983?

Friday sounds like a good day. I won't know for sure till Sunday. I'll let you know if I can get off work.

Cool Jason . . . thinking Friday the 24th may be the most likely day-- ride the first hour of CM, grab a quick bite, head over . . .? Want to do some research first and find out if people who've seen it so far found it worthwhile . . .

I may be interested in going, let me know what day you have in mind and I'll see if I can make it.
Do you have a ticket to sell? Id be down. When is the show?
Has anyone heard where the best place to view the show will be? I'm considering splurging on floor seats relatively close, but I'm worried I'll miss the spectacle aspect. Should I try for further back on the floor, or maybe in the 100's sections? Thanks
I went ahead a got a ticket for Tuesday, Sec 5 Row 1. Where's bike parking at the stadium? I'm supposed to enter at Gate 7 (on Monroe?).

Also, this is my first concert at United Center; how are they on searching you as you come in? I'm thinking mainly of my compact camera with video capability.

This is the reply I got after submitting the question at the website:
"there is a fence located outside of Gate 8."
I think that's on Damen

Great show! Thanks for suggesting/planning/implementing. Great tailwind going home. Just one thing. Roger Waters looked a lot older than he did in 1977...
Ha ha ha
