Someone at tour de fat mentioned this ride. I can't attend it, but it sounds interesting. This area is quite beautiful as well!

Is anyone driving up from Chicago and wanting to ride share?

It's the course that was planned to be used for the Chicago Olympics.  As mentioned, beautiful area to ride, just west of Madison.  I was a bit disappointed to find that it's only a 23 mile loop of which you do multiple laps.  It may be a closed course, and that's all they could manage.    If anyone is interested in doing it, someone on mapmyrides is giving away a free entry.

It's a nice course- I trained there a lot earlier in the year.  And the closed thing is nice, but to be honest it wouldn't matter even if it was open- you seldom see any cars around there.

 

I'm signed up for it, driving up Saturday afternoon.  Should be good!
