Hey Chainlinkers-

Gapers Block Crits is opening registration tomorrow (thu) at noon.  Registration is here

I really encourage anyone new to racing or considering giving it a try to either pre-reg for the week or show up and race a day as a day-of.  It's a super easy course, it's in the city, it's cheap, and it's fun... hey, give it a shot!

$50 a head for Men's Cat4-5 is not really that cheap...

It's for 5 races.  $10 a race is fairly cheap as things go.

Calendar event here as well.
I plan to do at least one of the races!
I can come out and cheer!

Cool, Julie-- we could use your help if you want to volunteer, too.

This is actually an extremely affordable event.  Most races are now $30-40 a pop- here you're paying $50 for 5.  (And for women it's $25  - insanely cheap!)  We've worked very hard and stretched our volunteer resources thin to make it happen, but we feel it's worth it.  The goal was to create a friendly intro to the racing scene for first-timers, whether you're on a team or not.  I'd like to think we've done that!

I'm happy to volunteer! I helped with the cylocross championship in December, it was super fun.

Post a seperate discussion asking for volunteers and I'll bet you can get a few more chainlinkers happy to help out.

And the prizes are pretty awesome.

count me in too. I will either be unattached, "Team Chainlink" or Iron Cycles (still waiting to hear from them).  ALSO - anyone interested in joining me for a two man time trial next month (it's in Garden Prairie - it's flat and fast. 40KM IIRC).

Dan

J- I'm writing you an email right now.  Excited to make an announcement!

Julie- will do!  Only, I'll wait a few days...

Also- folks, the pre-reg does fill up for men, both heats.  If you want a spot, don't wait too long to register!
