I am concerned about the condition of bike lanes in the Lakeview and Lincoln Park neighborhoods. Many of the existing lanes need to be repainted, and it's not always clear how to alert the city about these matters.

I think 311 is the correct way to do this. There is probably also a web page for it.
The bike lane(s) on Elston are also pretty faded in places.
I rode on Halsted thru Lincoln Park last night and it was terrible. Lane condition in the tweet:
Contact your alderman.
The Roosevelt St bridge desperately needs restriping
Clark is a nice street with bike lanes and 1 lane for cars on either side until you get to the Chicago History Museum where the road opens up to 2 lanes for cars and the bike lanes are no where to be found. Are there really bike lanes or did they fade away? I cannot tell.
I hear you... The Milwaukee Ave bike lane on the NW Side is in very faded condition. It badly needs fresh paint.
I may try to report it with my SeeClickFix app on my phone and see what happens.
Well, Broadway from Diversey to Addison is non-existent, and it's _dangerous_! I had to stop when a driver opened her door as I approached, and she yelled at me! "Other people are on the road," she screamed. I don't know if a clearly painted bike lane would have changed her, but it couldn't hurt!
Well, it definitely needs it -- it's not very safe as it is.

The city should realize that if they installed more protected lanes with physical barriers they would have to repaint less.
