Hi all,

I think I may have accidentally registered for Ragbrai this year - are any of you doing it? And for those veterans - any tips
(other than building up a tolerance?!)

Thanks!

Join the RAGBRAI group. There are some good tips there, and a number of threads in the forum talking about RAGBRAI. The RAGBRAI forums (at ragbrai.org) are loaded with good tips as well.

Chainlinker Daniel Brown recently set up a meeting for people to talk about RAGBRAI, and I had the impression he was thinking about setting up another one. Separately, a number of people are looking to form groups for the ride. Joining a group is often a great idea.

Other Tips? Have fun. Stop in the towns. Eat pie. Drink beer.
Joe - that's great stuff. Thanks!
Accidentally registered? I think you may have become a victim of the "2_am_worm"

Ride Ride Ride....you can't put enough miles in the saddle before you go
You need to train to get ready. By early July, you will need to be able to ride 50 miles on Saturday and 50 miles on the following Sunday.

You will need transport to the starting location and from the ending location.
If you drive to the end, you will need a charter on Saturday to the start.

You don't have to, but lots of people like having a charter during the week.
Great video Frank.

hey Katie - Kelly and Brett have a cool RV option. It may fill up fast but I believe they still have room.

Kelly's mom drives and cooks...it's like first class.

It's going to be great with a really fun Chainlink contingent.

as far as preparation : just drink a lot of beer and eat tons of junk food for the next 5 months
and you'll be fine .... he he he.

Katie-

Trying to join this group, not having any luck. Do you need to approve?

Jim
Hmmm - I was able to just join. If you have problems, I'd recommend contacting Mark Trulock who manages the group.
