Question: Do we need to get a permit from the city if we have a bike valet service for an event?

We are having an Adventure Film Festival at the Logan Square theater on November 15th. One of our sponsors is planning a bike valet service for our event. Do you know if we need to get a permit from the city if we use either (1) the street loading zone or (2) the outdoor seating area of the theater for the bike valet?

The bicycle film festival was at the Logan Theater a few years ago but I don't see anything about bike valet when searching. Perhaps the theater management will remember how they handled the bikes. 

I'd suggest contacting the alderman's office with your inquiry.

The theater manager didn't mention the bike film festival. I'll email her and call the alderman's office.

Someone in the Alderman's office connected me with the Chicago Department of Transportation to get the permit.
