Tomorrow, before Mass, we're having a meetup at our shop. We'll have some snacks and provide the party atmosphere, but our lawyer says you'll have to bring your own liquid party favors. We will provide NO juice or soda!

We'll meet up at 5 and then do a mini-mass over to the MEGA-Mass around 5:45.

To find our shop, go to Illinois and McClurg, then follow our signs. It's down the docks from Fox and Obel, and it's near the AMC River East and that one liquor store on Illinois.

shamelessly yours,
evan

I will be there wearing bells. Jeremy usually throws a good party, and we are minutes away from Daley. I will try to leave at 5:20, but suspect I may get caught up and leave with the group. This sounds like it will be fun. This is the only job where parties have actually have been fun.
I'm in if i can get outta work early and it doesn't friggin rain. Can't ride the stupid kevlar tires and that leaves me with my bmx in a hurricane. Grrrr.
I wiped out on the wells st bridge yesterday. Sucked. Kevlar is useless if i can't commute on it.
Sounds fun. Weather may clear. Hey Bobby's, print some "Water Mass" maps for your posse.

Thanks for the link, Andrew. I got some MassMaps all printed and ready.

Lauren, aka Miss February, we'll just have to bring along those calendars to fill your void.

Gabe, stop wiping out! There's no shame (well, still a little) in avoiding open grate bridges on the sidewalk or just walking. Much safer. But doesn't the Wells bridge have steel plates? What's all this about a wipeout.
Evan,
Is is too late to get a different lawyer?

re: Kevlar
I've been riding on 27 inch Armadillos at 100 PSI for a couple of years now and I've only wiped out once in the rain - and that was on some very oblique railroad tracks - it was kind of my fault for trying to cross them at a bad angle. I cross two metal bridges twice a day (at least) - Kedzie and Loomis and have had no problem on them. What kind of kevlar tires are you having problems with Gabe?
this sounds good - but I have a dilemma.
I broke a brake (front) cable on the way in this morning...I don't feel all that great about
doing CCM (mostly the ride home) with one brake until I can fix it tomorrow.

Any chance I could get this EZ thing done (and pay for it of course) then ???

thanks

DB

Almost certainly! I don't know if you know Martin (safety) Hazard, but he'll be there and could easily fix it. I could also do it if he's running behind or is otherwise impaired.
I may have met him on the perimeter ride last Saturday ?
(he had a bike porn / midnight mauraders t-shirt on ???)
