I already contacted a few people, but I can't be sure given this bike is listed many times on the stolen bike registry. I imagine it's been very popular seller over the past year.
Here is the scoop: The pawn shop on Clark and Wrightwood, near the Wiener Circle has a VERY clean, VERY shiny and new Trek Hybrid. It's a grey 7.3 FX. It just looks way too nice for the owner to have been like "hey, I don't want this bike anymore."
As mentioned, I already sent an email or two to a few people making no promises it was their bike. But I figure since that brand of bike is listed so many times on the registry that it's almost like looking for a needle in the haystack. I fear I might be sending a barrage of people to this pawn shop. What I would do, if you THINK it's yours, is ask to see the bike then check the serial number. If you see that it is yours, do not tell the shop you think it's your stolen bike. FIRST call the police, THEN tell them it's your stolen bike. Others feel free to dissent or concur with this strategy. It recently worked with another person whom I helped recover a stolen bike.
Good luck to whomever owns this bike. It's a nice one, and hopefully it can be reunited with its owner.

Thanks for the kind words, h'. Hopefully the owner gets their bike back and the thief is brought to justice.
No kid seat on the back. I looked very clean and new, almost as if the person only had the bike a few days or weeks
