Dan was a co-worker at CME and last spring offered a place on his shared boat to my wife and I. Many mornings I saw Dan at the gym after his ride into work. He was generous, funny and defiant. My sympathies go out to all of Dan's friends and family.

Seeing all these pictures of him in his element and so alive makes it hard to believe he is gone.

I couldn't have said it better Julie.  Death sucks.  Cherish life.  Dan did!

Dan was all smiles! Every time I'd see him he'd keep telling me how he had a wonderful time joining us on N.S.C.M Karaoke ride. That he said I should do that ride again ! I'd tell him we will but never did! I'm so sorry that I couldn't do it!! I'd like to help or start a Karaoke ride in dedication to Dan Brown. Man I miss you!

It was so long ago I can't even remember the first time I met him.  Always cheery with a smile on his face and told me how much he loved The Chainlink and all the people he met through the site and events.

Very true!

I could've swore I seen him driving by the S-Curve at Lake Shore Drive Tuesday.
My sentiments too...
I agree with you Aaron! I do think that with all he was facing in his personal life that he just decided to go under the radar.

But also keep in mind he is still technically just missing.  I say he's on a laker freighter that picked him up and he's teaching all of the merchant marine about playing the harmonica and The Boss

I noticed this is as well this morning.  I work on Dan's team, and I will inform someone who has been in contact with his family.

My office is in the same building and I would see Dan at least once a week in the bike room.  I was surprised to learn that a number of my coworkers also knew Dan either from yoga classes at the gym or the bar at Rivers.

One of Dan's bikes is still locked in the bike room at 10 S. Wacker.  If any CL'ers are in touch with his family or estate, please let them know so that the building doesn't cut the lock and trash the bike when bike room fees are due in a couple of months.  Happy to assist with the building management if needed.

We could do a NSCM Karaoke ride.   We need Todd Allen and his trailer.

Sure thing - the invite was forwarded to a few teams that Dan worked closely with at CME.
