Bike Auction, Evanston Police Department May 30

Searching for an alternate means of transportation? Let the Evanston Police Department help you. There will be a bike auction Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the Evanston Police Dept. at 1454 Elmwood Ave. & Lake St. near the NE corner of the building.

Attendees will be able to bid on a vast array of bikes that have become part of the City’s unclaimed property. Bike donations are also accepted anytime 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at the Police Lobby Desk. Proceeds from the bike auction will support the police pension fund.

First bikes for auction are 2 Cannondales, 1 Gary Fisher, a racing bike worth over $2,500, tricycles and many more. Preview at 9 a.m. Only cash and checks accepted for payment (photo ID required for checks.) For further information, call 847-866-5029.
