The Chainlink

I was in a collision recently & my normal bike shop's mechanic is telling me my eighties Bass Frame & front fork are not repairable or fixable because of damage to my frame at the head set from the hit.

They told me this when I went in to get a new front fork, which has been bent for a while, and they are saying due to separation on the frame (I can't see it) the fork cannot be replaced.

The bike has sentimental meaning & I want some other opinions on the damage & my options before moving forward with a new bike. Attached some pictures just for the hell of it.

I am willing to pay for frame repair but don't know where to go for help.

Anyone?

Frame repair questions come up here periodically. The consensus seems to be that the go to people are Humble Frame Works, Owen at Blue City, or Jesse at Comrade. This thread has their contact info.
