Hi, everyone,

I came across this Craigslist post and found it so pathetic in so many ways.  I just couldn't let it sit.  (I'm like that).   I am posting to the entire ChainLink group in hopes that our community might be able to help.

As a former triathlete, I have a soft spot.  And, regardless of how you feel about what occurred or for that matter what didn't occur, I hope you have a soft spot too.   These are tricky situations, no doubt, and what's done is done, so let's leave it at that.

That said, please keep your eyes and ears open for this bike (especially those in Logan Square) and for other "suspicious activity."  MOST importantly, if, through your various networks/travels, you come across someone who had a tri-fitted bike stolen on Friday have him/her register on the Stolen Bike Registry ASAP.

If you hear of any progress in this case or have suggestions for constructive action, feel free to post.    I, for one, am curious to know if we (or someone) could get a look at that video.

Ok, click here:

Sadly this could just be a drunk getting on his bike and the bystander had no idea (we did have marauders last night and a fair amount of nice rides.). The owner of the bike needs to post before this becomes something.
Good "morning," maurauder!

If I'm not mistaken this incident was witnessed on Friday morning. Pre-maurauder mischief.
I get your drift - and point taken - but doesn't mean I have to like it!

BIKE OWNER, pleeeease post!!!!
Contacting the Chicago Tri seems like the best and only answer.
Oops, Tri is NEXT weekend. (I'll change the initial post to reflect that). I did contact the Chicago Tri Club, however.
