Chicago didn't make the list for Bike the Drive, because that is a paid event.

I would agree with their assessment for Bike the Drive.  Streets get closed all over Chicago each summer for the triathalon, the marathon, and lots of other paid athletic events, but these are not open to the non-paying public.  Bike the Drive sorta falls into this category.

We've had Open Streets/Sunday Parkways on the boulevards, in Wicker Park, and on State St. in years past, but it seems like they didn't catch on the way they have in other world cities.
