I tried to link it, but it's not working. Go to the NYTimes (www.nytimes.com) and at the bottom where they have the video and "business day live" there is story about cyclist using cameras on their commutes. You have to fast forward to around 8:13 minute mark.
Funny, an idiot blew a red light and she almost hit me today crossing an intersection in the loop....I am strongly considering one of these as it's almost daily now that I'm either harrassed or almost hit.

I use one when commuting. Thankfully I've never had to use it. But the trick is to use it every day. I've had plenty of close calls when I didn't have my camera. But once you get one you'll want a second one to point backwards. :)
@ Chris B, do you use a GoPro or something similar? Would be cool to see how you have set up your system.

I've thought of installing a camera before. I was wondering: if you use a video as evidence in a suit, can the evidence of your own traffic infractions on the video (rolling through stop signs, going through a red light after a quick stop, etc) prior to the collision work against you, even if you were committing no infraction at the time of the collision?
