Holy cow - has it been a year since I made the 2012 thread?! Indeed, it has!
Based on the calendar event, it looks like a good amount of people have RSVPd to ride. Even if you haven't, and were looking for some people to ride with, post in this thread.
Which distance will you be riding? And, at which pace are you planning to ride?
I'll be riding the classic century @ a somewhat comfortable pace. After starting this cycling season well, my conditioning is questionable as I have only been on the bike a handful of times since June. Yikes. I'm looking for some people who might want to ride between 13-15 mph average.
The forecast is shaping up to look like it's going to be a great day for riding! I'm sure people remember the weirdo weather last year - much cooler. I remember waking up and heading out @ 5:15AM and it being 39 degrees!
Who's in?

I will be there, not sure of my start time... my pace will be whatever my knee can handle, this will be my first century this year after two knee surgeries. We should figure out some way of finding other chain linkers
I think they should all be "microchipped."

That is the pace I am hoping for, maybe I will catch you guys at the start.

I'd love to join you guys, if you want one more! I'm also hoping to start the 100mi route right at 6am and maintain a brisk pace as well. 16+ sounds perfect.
Kiltedcelt - I'm also tweaking a few fit things as well. I purchased a new bike about 4 weeks ago and rode it for the 62mi Bike & Chow, but still adjusting things here and there on longer rides. I was thinking about putting the selle italia seat I've been drooling over on in time for this ride.

I'm riding a new bike though and might have fit issues that crop up a after some distance in. I how that won't be the case since this bike is almost identical in geometry to my other one. I'm not so sure about a 6:00 AM start though. I'm shooting more for getting on the road no later than 7:00. Maybe I'll see you guys at one of the stops.Yao and I are doing the 100, and I plan to leave close to 6am. We will be hovering around 16, let me know if you would like to join us.
Ha.
Last year someone posted a birds eye view from google maps to show where to meet. That could work again.
my garmin has a "follow me live" feature but I think my pace will be closer to 20-22 then to 15
That would be cool, Ill be near the registry, wearing a less than traditional helmet and a red jersey. Could hang out until 10-15 after 6 then head out. I am sure we will see everyone else throughout the day.

Here is a picture of the area where registration is and the pond that is just south of it. I think folks met at the steps to the pond last year. I am going to start early, but won't be riding with you! Might pop over to wish you all a good ride.

If we all had Chainlink jerseys...

Does implanting the microchip hurt much?

Locals call it "the lagoon." :-) BITD they used to freeze it in the winter so the kids could play hockey. Today, not so much.
But 0 dark 30 is usually the best part of the day! I will be starting as close to it as possible, so look for me plodding along on my very small LHT and say "hey" as you pass!
Hmmm. So far, weather forecast looks pretty good- high about 67, NE wind 9 (tailwind home!)
(Sorry, but at this time of year i'm a weather wimp.) See y'all there early. Say hi as you pass the old guy with the beat-up Carradice seat bag and silver mudguards.... i'll ring the bell.
