Dear Chainlink,

I am doing a big journalistic research project on the culture, sport, and law/politics of bicycling in New York City in the fall. So far, I MAY have a contact at Transportation Alternatives, which sounds like New York's version of the Active Transportation Alliance. I also know I have a huge crush on Jenette Sadik-Kahn, the super bike-friendly director of their Dept. of Transportation.

Does anyone have any preliminary ideas of NY groups or organizations or friends or shops or anyone I can talk to to start getting tapped into the culture there?
